Christmas Services 2026
Christmas Eve, 3:00 p.m.: The Children’s Service
The Sunday School children tell the Christmas story in Bible readings, memorized recitations and songs. They practice for weeks, and it's one of the fullest services of the year, so come early.
Christmas Eve, 7:30 p.m.: Lessons and Carols
Bible readings trace God's promise of a Savior from the Garden of Eden to the birth of Jesus, with carols sung between them. Churches have held this service for more than a century.
Christmas Day, 10:00 a.m.: Christmas Day Worship
A full service with Holy Communion, celebrating that God came to be with us in Jesus.

Christmas is when we celebrate the mystery of the Incarnation: God became man in Jesus Christ.
He came and dwelt with us on earth, so that we might dwell with Him in heaven through the forgiveness of our sins.
That is an occasion worth celebrating, and we want you to celebrate with us!
Common Questions
What if my children are noisy?
That's fine. Children worship with their parents at St. Peter's, all year and at Christmas. They learn the service by being in it, and the rest of us are glad to have them there. If you need to step out, the service plays on a TV in the basement, so you won't miss anything.
What should I wear?
You'll see everything from suits to flannel and boots. It's Minnesota in December, so dress warm and come as you're comfortable.
How early should I arrive?
For the 3:00 Children's Service, come 30 to 45 minutes early, because the church fills with families. For the other services, 15 minutes is enough.
I’m not Lutheran. Can I still come?
Yes. Whether you belong to another church or have never been to one, you're welcome. The bulletin prints the whole service, and it tells you when to sit and stand.
Where do I park?
There's a large parking lot right next to the church.
Is your church accessible?
Yes. The north entrance has a ramp for wheelchairs and walkers.
Can I watch services online if I can’t attend in person?
Yes. Services stream live on our Facebook page, and you can watch them afterward.
