Sunday School
During the school year, Sunday School meets at 8:30 a.m., before the service. Children from age 3 (potty trained) through 8th grade learn Bible stories and songs with their teachers, and there are crafts and games along the way. You can sign your kids up ahead of time below.
Where Faith is Passed Down & Christ is Lifted Up
St. Peter’s has worshiped in Moltke Township since 1879. The church sits among the fields six miles north of Gibbon, within half an hour of Winthrop, Fairfax, Stewart, Hector and Buffalo Lake.
We belong to the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS). Our Sunday service follows an order Christians have used for centuries: hymns, prayers, readings from the Bible, and a sermon on what those readings say. Everything is printed in the bulletin, so you can follow along even if it’s all new to you.
Children worship with their parents here. They learn the service by hearing it week after week, and nobody expects a three-year-old to sit still. If yours makes noise, you don’t need to leave. Grandparents, parents and children sit in the same pews and hear the same Word.

We’re on 240th Street in Moltke Township, six miles north of Gibbon.
School year (September through May)
- Sunday School at 8:30 a.m.
- Adult Bible Study at 9:00 a.m.
- Worship at 10:00 a.m.
Summer (June through August)
- Worship at 9:00 a.m.

Our Life Together
God brought us together to serve each other. That can mean teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, greeting people at the door, and a good deal more.
Then we go home to the work God gives each of us as neighbors across Sibley, Renville, and McLeod counties.
