St. Peter's is a thirteen mile drive to the northwest of Winthrop, out in the country north of Gibbon. If you do not have a church home, or you have been away from one for a while, we’d love to welcome you here!
A Church for All Ages near Winthrop
St. Peter's belongs to the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS). We teach that we are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Here you will hear God's Word speak plainly about our sin and our need for forgiveness. You will hear that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and that forgiveness and eternal life are His gifts to you. We also teach what God commands and how we serve our neighbors in daily life.
What You'll Find at St. Peter's
Worship: We sing hymns, hear readings from the Bible and a sermon, and pray together. The whole service is printed in the bulletin. Children worship alongside their parents. If you have questions about receiving Holy Communion, speak with the pastor before the service.
Education: Sunday School for children and adult Bible study during the school year. Confirmation instruction for youth.
Fellowship: Coffee after the service, in a congregation where people know each other.

About Winthrop, Minnesota
Winthrop is a town of about 1,300 in Sibley County, on Highway 19 between Gaylord and Gibbon. It grew up as a railroad town, a division point on the Minneapolis & St. Louis Railway with a roundhouse and repair shops. Every April the town holds Grackle Days, named for the bird whose return means field work is about to start, and in July the Chamber puts on Farm City Fun Fest in City Park.
